Aztek Networks Announces Steven Bruny as Chief Executive Officer and Spencer Punter as VP of Marketing and Business Development

Boulder, Colo. (Sept. 18, 2006) - Aztek Networks (formerly Aztek Engineering), a leading provider of Emergency Stand Alone (ESA) switching and IP gateway products, announced today that Steven M. Bruny has been named Chief Executive Officer succeeding company founder Mark Elder, who will remain with the company in the position of Chief Technical Officer. Aztek Networks also announced today that Spencer Punter has been named to the position of Vice President of Marketing and Business Development.

Bruny has a wealth of experience in the telecommunications industry, having served as a Founder, President, CEO or COO for four telecom-related companies. Most recently, Bruny was President/Americas for Azure Solutions, the world leader in revenue assurance and fraud software for the telecom industry, before Subex Systems, Ltd. acquired the company in June 2006.

Bruny's experience in the telecom industry spans nearly two decades. As a Founder and COO of Connexn Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of revenue assurance software to the telecom industry, Bruny quickly grew the business, which was then acquired by Azure Solutions in 2004. He has also held positions as CEO of IGS, a telecom network facilities inventory company funded by Warburg Pincus, and was founder and CEO of Information + Graphics Systems, a telecom and utilities software provider that was acquired by Hitachi Software Engineering in 1993. Prior to that he served as President of Optical Computer, a division of American Laser Corporation.

"Aztek Networks has enormous potential to develop and deliver reliable, innovative and secure telecom products to the industry for its present and future needs. I'm pleased to be leading this talented team at such a fast-paced and exciting time," said Steven Bruny.

Joining Bruny on the management team is Spencer Punter. Previously, Punter spent several years as a venture capitalist with Bay Partners and Bowman Capital, where he specialized in communications equipment investments. He has also worked at Integral Capital Partners as an equity research analyst covering the communications equipment sector and in Morgan Stanley's Technology Investment Banking Group. Punter is driving the company's marketing and business development programs, specifically targeting rural independent telecommunications carriers.

"We have some of the most unique and highest quality telecom products on the market, including our new True ESA(TM) device that delivers voice switching and IP media gateway services to the industry in an extremely dependable and cost effective manner. I'm pleased to be leading Aztek's marketing and business development initiatives as we grow and evolve our product lines," Punter said.

"I am delighted to welcome Steven and Spencer to Aztek Networks," said company founder Mark Elder. "They both bring tremendous telecommunications industry experience and an entrepreneurial spirit that will add enormous breadth to the leadership of Aztek."

Bruny and Punter join Mark Elder, Chief Technical Officer; Pete Ruether, Vice President of Engineering; and Carl Maneri, Chief Financial Officer; on the management team.
